Awesome Blogger Award
Welcome to yet another self-explanatory post! After nearly 10 months of keeping mum, I was finally prompted by a fellow blogger to publish yet another oxymoronic post. And me, being the narcissist that I am immediately jumped at the prospect of blabbering about myself.
On that note, let’s get started with this (un) awesome post right away!
(So that it can get over soon.)
Awesome Blogger Award
Much as I’d like to tell you guys about the reason or the person behind this award, I have been unable to find any particular reference to either. So maybe this award was indeed created as a platform for pompous people like us to bask in the glory of fame. Or maybe not. Maybe it was indeed created with the honest intentions of giving the less known yet talented newbie bloggers a chance to shine in this vast ocean of WordPress.
Regardless, it truly has given us an opportunity to connect & interact as a blogging community.
So kudos to the creator!
A. The Rules
1. Thank the person who nominated you.
2. Tag the post with #awesomebloggeraward
3. Answer the questions you were asked
4.Nominate at least 5 bloggers and inform them of their nomination
5. Give them 10 new questions
Alright. Now that we know the rules, let’s follow them, shall we?
I’d like to thank J of BlogsbyJ for considering me worthy of receiving this nomination.
(Yeah, I know they made a mistake. But hey, it’s life! Everyone’s allowed to make mistakes in life. Right?)
J writes great introspective articles. And their blog is really versatile and covers everything from great tips about lifestyle & fashion to brilliantly crafted introspective articles which engage your mind & are easily relatable as well as inspiring & motivational.
C. The A to the Q
(Aka the hardest part. For you guys I mean. Me? Oh, I dream of this every day!)
(Just kidding. I don’t.)
1. What are three words to describe yourself?
Loyal, Passionate & Stubborn I guess would be the three words I’d choose to best describe myself. Although I think that one would always get a biased result if they were asked about themselves. So personally I’d always prefer to find out who a person is through a series of smartly crafted questions than such blatant ones… 😅
2. What are your favorite hobbies?
Blogging (Obviously, heh), Reading (mostly non-fiction), Playing the Keyboard & Singing my favourite songs. And although I am unable to pursue it as much as the others, wildlife photography.
3. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
An introvert. Oh, definitely an introvert! Although, given my profession which demands constant public interaction & social skills, that’s a major disadvantage & hence I have tried to change myself into an ambivert the very least. And I hope that I have succeeded in doing so.
4. What was your motivation to start blogging?
Well… I have always loved to write as a child. So there’s that. And about 3 years & a couple months ago, I was introduced to the world of blogging by my friend who was a WordPress blogger. Inspired, I created an account and well… The rest is history! 😅
(BTW, my blog turned 3 just a couple days ago. Happy blogaversary to me! 😊)
5. What do you like to do in your free time?
I guess you could pick a couple points from my answers to questions 2 & 4. Don’t we all like to indulge in our hobbies during our free time? And being the introvert that I am, my hobbies truly mean the world to me. Although of course, given the chance, I also love to chat/hangout with my friends or simply browse my phone if I only have a couple of minutes at hand.
6. Have you always loved to write?
Yet again, refer to my answer to question 4! Yeah, I always have! From writing childish poetry & short stories right from the second grade to writing & rewriting (& rewriting & re…) an unfinished novel throughout my middle & high school, writing is that one thing that has stuck with me. Always.
(P.S. Refer to my first ever blog post All about writing for a greater insight into my writing ‘adventures’)
7. What is your goal for 2020?
Errm… My goal for this year is to simply stay consistent with what I do & to not give up on the belief that a silver lining is just around the corner. For this year has been pretty dark for the world as a whole already & hence holding on has become important. Now more than ever.
8. Where do you get your inspiration from?
For what? As far as writing/blogging is concerned, I often get the inspiration & motivation from the events that occur around me/to me in everyday life. Out of those gazillion thoughts that occur to us everyday, a few tend to get stuck somewhere in my mind palace. Then, over days to weeks (sometimes even months or years) these are refined, honed & processed into the blogposts that you all see! Hence the name Pensieve.
And as far as life itself is concerned, it’s often a mix of personal experiences, pieces of advice from friends & elders & the stories of many inspirational personalities that I come across while simply browsing through my phone.
Inspiration? It’s everywhere! Just waiting for you to grab & hold on to it!
9. What is your favorite topic to write about?
Though most of my blog is laden with fandoms & short stories, those are not the posts I pride myself the most upon.
It’s those few, treasured introspective articles that I write once in a bluemoon that I thoroughly enjoy working upon. A blend of science, philosophy, psychology & spirituality, I often spend hours at a time for several weeks before these posts are ready to be published.
(You can find those posts under the category of Introspection)
10. What is your biggest fear?
Don’t know why, but I had never asked myself this question ever before! And I think I have a pretty interesting answer to this one.
My biggest fear would be that either by death or by an epiphany I would come to realize that this universe indeed has no creator & hence no purpose. Like, hello, what was the point in living all these years then? Of believing in equality, in justice, in goodness and in karma? If there were no judgement, nobody to watch us from above and nobody to punish the billions of wrongdoers who got away and console the billions who suffered because of them?
Wouldn’t the world be just one fuckin’ chaos then?
Something which had been useless since it’s inception?
Don’t know about you guys, but I wouldn’t wanna live in such a meaningless place then. It would all be for nothing after all.
D. The Q for your A!
Now that you have been thoroughly entertained by my responses (I hope), it’s your turn to do me the favours! And written below is my questionnaire for the same!
- What was the idea behind your blog when you first started it? Has it stayed the same? Or has it… wavered?
- Which type of content do you love reading/writing the most? (You can either have two different individual answers to them or they can both be the same)
- What is your favorite color? Why?
- Eternal silence? Or eternal noise? (You HAVE to choose. Neither ain’t an option!)
- Have you ever watched the clouds in the sky & imagined them create various forms & shapes? If yes, what were they?
- Can mistakes be treasured? How?
- How right is right?
- One quote that changed the way you thought about life. What was it & how did it influence you?
- Your idea of a perfect day
- What makes happiness ‘happy’?
You know, if WordPress had music, I’d have really loved to put in an audio clip of the Oscar nominations every time I wrote such award posts. For I do imagine the sound going on in my head whenever I select you guys as a nominee. Seriously though, you all are great bloggers & deserve way more viewers and repute than you receive.
1. Sheree of View from the back
2. Rashi Singh of Fictive Finesse
3. John Malone
4. Pradnya Ajgaonkar of Prayukti
6. Louis Brady of The Dragon Spire
Congratulations on being nominated for the Awesome Blogger Award! It’s your choice if you want to participate, or not, although I’d really love to know the answers to the questions that I have asked you guys. Albeit personally, I’d recommend you to atleast nominate other worthy bloggers as a token of app for their hard work. ‘cuz that’s how the blogging community thrives. By having each other’s backs.
Because in the end, the world is nothing but a humongous family!
Stay tuned & more importantly…
Until next time!
